Why Residual Affiliate Programs Is The Best To Promote

Are you a webmaster in need of additional income? Or are you planning to set up an online business but you still don't have any product to sell? If so, affiliate marketing may be the best solution for your problems. With affiliate marketing, you won't need to worry about the products you have to sell. All you need to have is a website with sufficient contents that are related to the products of a certain online company offering affiliate programs. By becoming a member of the program, or by becoming an affiliate, you can start earning a certain amount of money right away!

Affiliate marketing is some sort of business relationship established between a merchant and his affiliates. In affiliate marketing, an affiliate agrees to direct some traffic to a merchant's website. If that traffic is converted into some kind of action, like a visitor purchasing a product on the merchant's website or a visitor becoming a lead for the company, the affiliate who directed the traffic will be compensated. Compensation may take the form of either a percentage sales commission for the sales generated or a fixed fee predetermined upon the application of the affiliate on the merchant's affiliate program.

Promising a lot of benefits both for the merchants and the affiliates, affiliate marketing has become one of the most popular online marketing methods today. In fact, almost every merchant or retailer site today offers an affiliate program that any one can join into. Most retailers would entice people to become affiliates or members of their program by promising great benefits like large commissions, lifetime commissions, click through incomes and a lot of other benefits. But would all these affiliate programs bring off the same benefits?

Most affiliate programs would pay you, as an affiliate, a one-time commission for every sale or lead you brought to the merchant's website. Commissions for this kind of affiliate programs are usually large, ranging from 15% to a high of about 60%. Other affiliate programs would pay you a fixed fee for every click through or traffic you send to the merchant's site. Programs like this often pay a smaller fee for every click through, usually not getting any larger than half a dollar. The good thing about this kind of program, however, is that the visitor won't have to purchase anything in order for the affiliate to get compensated.

Another type of affiliate program is the residual income affiliate program. Residual affiliate programs usually pay only a small percentage of sales commission for every sale directed by the affiliate to the merchant's site. This commission often comes only in the range of 10% to 20% sales commission. Because of this, many people ignore residual affiliate program and would rather opt for the high paying one-time commission affiliate program. Are these people making a mistake, or are they making the right decision?

We can't tell, for sure, if people are making a mistake by choosing a high paying one-time commission affiliate program. But we can definitely say that they are making a large mistake if they ignore residual affiliate programs. Residual affiliate programs would indeed pay at a lower rate, but merchants offering such kind of programs would generally pay you regular and ongoing commissions for a single affiliate initiated sale! That means, for the same effort you made in promoting a particular affiliate program, you get paid only once in a one-time commission program, and a regular and ongoing commission for a residual program!

So, are the benefits of promoting residual affiliate programs clearer to you now? Or are they still vague? If they are still vague, then let's make them a bit clearer with this example.

Suppose there are two online merchants both offering web hosting services on their sites. The first merchant offers a one-time commission type of affiliate program that pays $80 for every single affiliate initiated sale. The second merchant also offers an affiliate program, but this time a residual affiliate program that pays only $10 for every single affiliate initiated sale. As an affiliate, we may get attracted at once at what the first merchant is offering, as $80 is definitely a lot larger than $10. But by thinking things over before actually getting into them, one may be able to see that the second merchant is offering us more opportunity to earn a larger amount of money.

Supposed you have directed traffic to the merchant and it converted into a sale, you'll get paid once by the first merchant for the sale you have initiated. But with the second merchant, you'll get paid monthly for as long as the customer you have referred to the merchant continues to avail of the web hosting service. That means that for the same effort of getting one customer to avail of the merchant's service, you get paid monthly in residual affiliate programs while you only get paid once in a one-time commission type of affiliate programs.

So, are residual affiliate programs worth promoting? Definitely yes, because you virtually get more money from these types of affiliate programs in the long run! And would residual affiliate programs work best for you? Probably not, probably yes. It is not really for me to tell. But with the benefits that residual affiliate marketing can provide, it would really be unwise to ignore such programs.

Keeping her Interested.

To cut a good and long lasting relationship, you need to grab her attention and maintain her interest. This can be done by experimenting. You never know what is best for your community if you never test it out. Try new things, escape your comfort zone, have an open mind because who knows what reward it can bring. Just remember, don't let your relationship go dull and stale.

Treat her well and you will be rewarded.

Everyone wants to be treated well, especially your women. She wants to be respected, listened to and appreciated. Same as your community, your forum needs an ongoing attention and your members also need to be respected and listened so they feel a sense of value within them selves.

Remember, if you don't treat your women well, you will obviously see a breakdown in your relationship. Same as your forum, if you don't treat your forum members and the community well for a period of time, it will come to a devastating conclusion.

Beauty must be seen to be appreciated.

There can be a women with the looks of an angle but if her beauty is not seen, then it's wasted. Make sure your community looks great and that you have spent enough time advertising and spreading the word of your forum. Make sure your design is original and memorable, so your visitors admire your forum.

Beauty needs a personality.

Yes beauty is a bonus but without a wonderful personality, the relationship may become awkward or uncomfortable. Same as a forum, every community has their own unique personality (their own set of rules, their own ways of creating humor, their own ways of running a forum) - develop it, and it will differentiate your community from the competition and lure in new members. Being beautiful isn't everything.

You won't always get along.

Yes, arguments and disagreements are always evadable within a relationship. No matter how beautiful she is, it can not be avoided because everyone is different in their unique ways. This is normal in all relationships, same as an online community.

99% of forum owners find it difficult and slowly give up after not making much progress in recruiting new members and visitors. Don't give up! It's normal because all forums have to start from somewhere.

We also may have one or two arguments with members or staff, this is where you need to stop, think again and keep your cool. The continuous arguing will affect the relationship and your community.

Jealously.

Yes, this may have happened to you once in your forum development years. You've banned a member and they revenge by creating a similar forum (which usually fails) because their simply trying to annoy you or give you competition. Prepare for jealously, it's only a small part of your forum history.

Finding Your Advertising Style

by Lynne Saarte

As a business owner, you likely have a love-hate relationship with advertising. While you certainly recognize its importance in growing your business, you would likely rather spend your time and money focusing on the aspects of your business that you enjoy much more, such as interacting with your clients. One way to make advertising less of a chore and more enjoyable for you as a business owner is to find your advertising style.

Change the way you approach advertising

Think of your advertising efforts as a sales job. You are trying to "sell" those who view your ads on your product or service. All good salespeople know that finding their unique sales style is essential to success, and this is no different in the world of advertising.

Devise a strategy

So how do you find your advertising style? First, you need to take some time to watch those who have succeeded. Figure out what type of advertising you are going to be doing, such as poster printing, brochure printing, or radio advertising, and then take the time to look at the ads of other businesses. What about those ads seems to work? What seems to not work? Collect as much information as you can about the ads of others.

Once you have your information, pick and choose what you like. Some advertising strategies that are quite effective will not be a good fit for you or your business. Discard those things that will not work, and hang on to those things that do work. Soon you will have an advertising strategy that will fit your personality and your business.

Put it to work

Now that you have your advertising style in mind, it is time to create your ad. You have knowledge about your style and what does and does not work in the world of advertising. Use that knowledge to help you create a winning ad.

Do not be afraid to ask for help

Remember, we never stop learning. A wise man once said the only brain that is not learning is one that is dead. After creating your first advertising campaign, continue collecting information about effective ads. Keep a file of the ideas you receive, and refer to it when the time comes to create a new ad campaign. Always be willing to tweak your existing ads so that they fit your style better and are more effective marketing tools.

Do you know someone who is an effective business owner or salesperson? Do not be afraid to ask them questions. Find out what they did that worked, and add that to your list of potential ideas for future advertising campaigns. Of course, you will want to return the favor by answering questions to other young business owners when your business starts to experience great success.

Remember, your style is not going to copy someone else exactly. You will take the traits and strategies used by successful business owners and find those that work for you. You will then create your own unique advertising style that is not a carbon copy of another business owner. After all, you and your business are unique, so your ads should be unique as well.

Successful Affiliate Marketer

by Daniel Andrade

Probably the simplest way to be a successful affiliate marketer is to build websites. Affiliate marketing is probably one of the easiest ways to start earning money online with little outlay. All that is required is a small website to promote the product or service and this can be anything from one page to something much bigger. This type of internet business attracts beginners and experienced marketers because you do not even need your own product to promote.

At this point you my not have a good idea what it is you want to sell but this is not as difficult as it seems. You should not be in a rush at this point because you will need to spend time reading and understand the terms and conditions of the company you want to sell products for. Misunderstandings amongst affiliates are common s don't be one of them as it will affect your earning potential. There are many companies that will only trade with certain countries so will not pay affiliates if they live there.

Be wary of affiliate programs that pay less than fifty percent commission unless you can guarantee a high turnover. Some of the latest trends in affiliate marketing can be found on google.com/trends/hottrends which can highlight the latest areas for products to consider. There isn't generally any need to pay for membership of any affiliate program, be very careful of companies that ask for an up front fee. Although you can find programs almost anywhere you look, those that use Paypal or Clickbank for their payments are he best to use and registering with both doesn't cost anything. There will be time later to use other payment gateways once you have established your affiliate marketing empire.

When you are new at marketing affiliate products there is a great deal to learn, but take heart as there are a huge number of free resources, ebooks and websites, to help just don't try to take in too much at once. It is quite usual for ebooks to contain url's that are in themselves, affiliate links, it is up to you if you click on any and buy something. It is easy to start using the free techniques first in the early days and then stat paying for worthwhile programs etc. when you are making some money. This use of free products works well because it is a way for you to see whether the person who supplied them knows what they are doing.

Some people forget that not everyone searches for things online and to increase exposure to your website you need to consider other forms of advertising to succeed at affiliate marketing. The advertising only needs to direct people to your website where if it has been designed correctly, will do the work for you. To find out where your affiliate marketing efforts are best spent you will need to track where the traffic to your site is coming from and stick to those methods. With affiliate marketing it is easy to work for as many companies as you feel comfortable with. A word of warning: there is also danger of getting bogged down with too much information, this can also be bad or out dated just too make matters worse.

Daniel Andrade recommends you directory submission and article submission to gain backlinks for your website.

Best Webhosting Options

DON'T FORGET TO COMMENT ON THIS ARTICLE

by Dave Marrow

The best webhosting plan for you will depend on your goals for your new website. If you are simply putting together a website to store some personal files, then you are not going to need all the bells and whistles. Similarly, if you don't expect a lot of traffic, other than from a few friends who want to see what your new blog post is about, you can get by with minimal requirements and don't really need to pay attention to the features. The cheapest plan available, or even free webhosting platforms, would probably do the trick.

However, where you need to start paying more attention is if you expect to build a website as a business, or if you are working to build something that will have steady traffic. There are still a number of low pricing options for you to choose from, but the best webhosting plan you can find may be worth paying for. The best webhosting programs will include:

* Free Set Up
* Unlimited domains
* Unlimited emails
* Unlimited ftp accounts
* Free website builder programs
* Plenty of email addresses
* PHP and MySQL
* Fantastico with blog and forum scripts
* 24/7 support via chat, phone and email
* Large storage space and bandwidth

Your best bet may be to start with a cheap webhosting plan and then scale up when you need to grow. Any hosting company that has 24 hour support can bump you up to the next package in a matter of minutes. What you do want to be concerned about, however, is the up-time. A website that is constant down can be frustrating, and it can cost you a lot of time when you are trying to get work accomplished over the weekend and your website is not live.

How 2 Format your E-book in Word & convert to a PDF file (Part 2)

Subscribe in a Reader

DON'T FORGET TO COMMENT ON THIS ARTICLE

by Dave O Connell

Now that you have the basic format for your e-book, it's time to move on to the finer details. Here are some more tips for formatting your e-book in Word and converting it into a PDF file.

Illustrations. E-books often include photos, pictures, charts, and other illustrations. However it's important to realize that because illustrations contribute to a larger file size, some e-book publishers only accept text submissions.

There is more than one way to add illustrations to your e-book, but one method is to use a scanner and then convert the pictures to .gif or .jpeg files. You can then format the photos any way you like using software such as Photoshop or the GIMP.

You can't really add illustrations directly into Word (you can, but it's a nuisance) so if you plan to create an e-book with a lot of pictures, it's a better idea to use a desktop publishing program. Always leave enough of a margin between the illustration and the text, and add captions when necessary.

Front matter. This includes the title page, a copyright page, acknowledgements, and a table of contents. To put together the copyright page, take a look at the copyright page of a print book and use the same formatting and information, using your own name and book title, of course. Leave out unnecessary items, such as the Library of Congress information. The only time you'll need an ISBN number is if you're going to sell electronic copies of the book on disk at a later date.

The table of contents is easy, Word automatically generates a table of contents when you use Headings formats for the chapter titles and subheads.

With an e-book it's better to label the first page as Page 1, even if it's the title page. Print books don't follow this format, but it works well for e-books.

Back matter refers to all the information you opt to include at the end of the e-book, such as an index, bio, and contact information. Here you can also advertise other books you're selling.

Time for Acrobat

Now that you have everything formatted in Word, it's time to convert the file to PDF format. This is very easy to do. Simply use the Print command in Word and choose Save as File under the General pull-down menu. Select Acrobat PDF as the file type and choose the Destination as File. Click the Print button and that's it! Your file is now a PDF, and can be read in Adobe Acrobat. Or, you can visit the Adobe website and convert the e-book for free online.

If you own a full version of Acrobat, there are more options to play around with. For example, the full program allows you to hotlink all the URLs in the e-book underline links or make them a different colour so that they'll stick out and your readers won't miss them. There's no point in creating hotlinks in the original Word document, as they will disappear during the conversion process anyway. Save this step for Adobe.

Using Blogging with Your Business

Subscribe in a Reader

DON'T FORGET TO COMMENT ON THIS ARTICLE

by davet

These days it seems like more and more businesses online are incorporating weblogs into their web site. Blogging accomplishes a variety of things when it comes to your business. It can be a method of communicating directly with your current or potential customers. It can also be a way to provide information to site visitors about your products and services that you are attempting to sell.

Imagine this: a member of your company or someone that you hire posts various topics to your business's blog. That writer adds a tag or two with keywords specific to the blog post's topic. An aimless internet browser happens to type in those same keywords that you tagged and your business web site appears on the search engine. That individual clicks on the link, ends up on your blog, and learns a bit about some of the products your company offers. This scenario may end with a sale right then and there, or it could at least mean further perusing of the web site and consideration of a future sale.

It is crucial that good content is provided within the blog. If you do not have someone within the company who can expend the energy to contribute good, worthwhile substance into the weblog, a freelance writer may be the answer. It is not necessary to always showcase your products within the weblog. In fact, if you do go this route, readers may get a bit bored. As long as you are writing about interesting topics pertaining in some way to your business, you can potentially gain quite the readership. For example, say you own a business that sells flowers. You would not want to always display information on the types you are selling. Instead, you could create a blog posting that gives tips on growing flowers in a garden, with a link to your main web site's flower selection.

In addition to providing good content, you will need to provide consistent posting. Blogging once a month will not keep readers coming back for more. At a minimum, someone should be posting to the weblog at least once a week. Preferably, if you have the resources available to do so, a daily or several times a week contribution to the blog is best.

Syndicating your blog is a helpful way to keep interested readers coming back to your site. If you are an avid internet user, you know how easy it is to overflow your Favorites folder or to get distracted going from one site to another via clicking on various links. By allowing customers and potential customers to subscribe to your blog's feed, you eliminate this. Now updates to your blog are updated in real time right to a feed reader or to that individual's email inbox.

Most information available out there touts the benefits of adding a blog as a complementary addition to your main web site. Used the right way, it can both communicate to your customers, as well as draw in potential sales.

Blogging for Profit Starts With a Long Term Plan

Subscribe in a Reader

DON'T FORGET TO COMMENT ON THIS ARTICLE

by Sharpy

Many people dream of blogging for profit, and this goal is not far beyond the reach of someone with average intelligence, a willingness to work hard, and a basic grasp of blogging technology. However, very few people manage to reap the profits they want from their blog. Most people who attempt to make money with their blogs do not succeed for two reasons.

Often, bloggers have unrealistic expectations of how fast their readership will grow and how much money they will make, and when these expectations are not met the disappointment can crush the desire to continue blogging. The other trap that many bloggers fall into has to do with lack of planning. If you want to turn a profit as a blogger, the key to success is to make a realistic plan and stick with it.

To succeed at blogging for profit, the main thing that you will need is a large readership. The higher your traffic, the more advertisers will agree to pay you. However, cultivating the regular visitors that you will need in order to make a profit isnt easy. As more and
more blogs appear each day, having a great idea or a wonderful writing style is no longer enough to get attention. You need to be able to market your blog effectively.

Too many bloggers spend all of their time writing posts and almost no time marketing their project. To be certain, updating as often as you can is a great way to keep your blog high on blogrolls and high in blog search engines like technorati, and once your readers know that you update frequently they will return to your site on a regular basis. However, it does not matter how often you update if nobody is reading your page, so dont skimp on the time that you spend drawing visitors to your site. To make your dreams of blogging for profit a reality, try decreasing your number of posts and using some of that time to draw new visitors by setting up link exchanges with other bloggers, making contacts in the blog community, and following other established modes of winning traffic.

Of course, even if you are a marketing genius or have a really great idea for a blog, success is not going to happen overnight. Building the kind of readership that blogging for profit requires takes time, and in all likelihood it will be at least several months before you are able to turn much of a profit. Try to stay committed to your blogging project during this initial rough period. To stay motivated, set goals for how often you will update and how many readers you want to attract, and then reward yourself for sticking with your plan.
