If you're a small business owner or you own a home-based business and you are a webmaster, assistant, and a receptionist all in one and you've found out that there's a little time in a day to fulfill all of the administrative duties? Hiring a Virtual Assistant could help you.

With today's rough economical times, it is hard to hire somebody to help you but it might be cost effective. You probably are spending more money and time on plans, bookkeeping and a lot more duties than an assistant can do.

A VA only works when they are needed. It means, you only pay them when there is work that needs to be done. You might be in need of someone to help you in sending out newsletters, bill your customers etc. With today's high technology, your VA can live anywhere, so you don't need to give him/her office space or tools. Taxes and benefits will not be your responsibility because your Virtual Assistant is working just for her/himself.

Finding and employing a Virtual Assistant is just a very easy procedure. A lot of assistants are leaving their jobs and starting to make their own business from their house and bringing their experiences with them. You can get the applicant's resume or just hire them for just a small kind of work to start. There are a lot of resources out there if you're looking for a Virtual Assistant. You can do a web search and you'll find a hundreds of names in front of you. Also, there are a lot of websites that have Virtual Assistant directories, so if you like better that your Virtual Assistant to be in the same state, after that, that would narrow the results of your search. There are many kinds of Virtual Assistants, some are expert or have been educated to be a VA and others, like me, I've taken our corporate understanding and translated it into a Virtual Assistant business.

The Fast Way To Write Hot-Selling Ebooks - In Four Steps

Subscribe in a Reader

DON'T FORGET TO COMMENT ON THIS ARTICLE

by

Ebooks are hot-sellers, but can be daunting to write. If you've been procrastinating on writing your own ebooks, try this easy four-step process below.

(Although this process assumes that you're doing the writing yourself, you could hire someone else to write the articles, and additional material for your ebooks.)

1. Write a series of articles

Once you've decided on a topic for your ebook, and have done research to ensure that people are looking for and buying information on this topic, write a series of articles.

Articles are less intimidating to write than an ebook, and you can use some of the articles as promotional tools to create demand for your forthcoming book. Post several articles on your Web site, as well as on the article directions.

When you post your articles to the article directories, the number of views your articles receive will show you what potential your ebook has for making sales.

2. Develop your ebook's structure

While you're writing the articles, develop your ebook's structure. You ebook will contain an introduction, the main body of the material, a closing chapter, and some additional material too. Consider writing several more articles as a bonus. Offering a bonus will enhance your sales.

3. Slot your articles into the structure

As you complete your articles, slot them into your ebook's structure. The number of articles you need will depend on your ebook's length. Ebooks are shorter than print books, with the optimum length of an ebook being around 50 pages.

Because it's more difficult to read on your computer screen than on the page, ensure that there's no "fluff" in your ebook. Fluff chapters are those which are essentially useless to your reader.

For example, if you're writing an ebook on how take digital photographs, a chapter on the history of digital photography is just fluff. Stick to the ebook's topic, and offer good, useful information.

4. Add the Introduction and final chapter

One you've written sufficient articles for the body of your ebook, write the Introduction, and the concluding chapter. You may need to add additional material to some of the chapters, to make them read well.

Consider adding images too. In our digital photography ebook, you could take some photos yourself to use as examples for various techniques discussed in the ebook. Any images you add should be essential, not merely decorative.

You may need to write another couple of articles for additional information and transitional material, but the bulk of your ebook will consist of the articles you've already written.

Be alert for "bonus" material as you write

Ebook purchasers love to get bonus material with their ebooks. Your bonus material could include a small report (just write two or three additional articles), checklists, or templates.

As you're writing your articles, think about your bonuses. An article will often inspire an idea for one or two bonuses. However, as with all the material you create for your ebook, ensure that your bonus material is relevant - it should be valuable in its own right.

So there you have it - a simple four-step method for writing ebooks which are easy and fun to write. Start your next ebook today.

Choosing A Domain Name Registrar – Essential Tips

Subscribe in a Reader

DON'T FORGET TO COMMENT ON THIS ARTICLE

Once upon a time, there was only one domain name registrar. Network Solutions had a monopoly, and anyone wishing to register a domain had to use their services, which were expensive, and offered no extra services like email along with the domain name.

Now there are hundreds of domain name registrars to choose from, and they offer registration for as little as about $10 a year, along with free parking, domain monetization, free email, domain locking , domain protection and other services.

But how do you know which registrars are reliable and give you the best deal? With the example of registerfly.com fresh in their minds, many people who want to register a domain name need to be sure that any name they do register will not be lost, or will not become impossible to transfer if the registrar has problems.

While all registrars must be approved by ICANN, that approval does not guarantee you will get a reasonably priced service with good support.

So, how can you choose a good one? Here are some tips on selecting a reliable registrar. They may help you to avoid problems in the future.

First, don't use the same company to register your domain and host your site. This happens when you sign up with a host which offers 'a free domain of your choice', and they register it for you. Web hosting services are notoriously unstable, and if a hosting service goes down it may be difficult or impossible to retrieve your domain. This has happened to me twice, and though I eventually got my domains back, it is an experience I don't recommend.

Second, remember that domain registrars can be cautious, and even supine in the face of complaints. If your site is to be controversial, contentious, political or sexual in nature, or will contain 'whistleblowing' material, ask a potential registrar if they believe in the principles of free speech, and discuss the nature of your site with them. Registrars can, and do, take sites down, often without hearing the owner's side of the story.

Third, check the prices. Look at all the available registrars, see what their prices are for a year, or for extended registration over a period of years. See what extra services are on offer, and what they cost. Private registrations particularly should not be costing you an inflated price. If you are going to register multiple domains, do you get a discount? Conversely, note that prices for domains have settled at about $9 or $10 a year. If a registrar is offering domains at a lot less that this, and is very new on the scene, be extra careful.

Fourth, check the domain name forums. Many people make a living trading domains, and it is in their interest to know what is going on. If there are rumors of a registrar being about to go under or having financial problems, you will soon see the relevant threads. On the other hand, you can often find registrar recommendations too, written by customers who are happy. If a registrar has a dedicated forum, have a look at it. Any problems will be apparent there.

Fifth, send a message to the Technical Support section of the potential registrar, as if you are a newbie. While the Sales section of any business will always reply to queries, it's the amount of resources given to their support that is of interest to you. If you get a reply from Technical Support in minutes, you may have a winner.

As for the last tip – make sure a registrar has a clearly stated process for transferring a domain away to another registrar if you ever want to do it. After all, it's your domain, not theirs.

Check Dee's site for information about domain names and how to buy and sell domains.

Wordpress Plugins - Free at MaxBlogPress

Subscribe in a Reader

DON'T FORGET TO COMMENT ON THIS ARTICLE

by Herschel Lawhorn

MaxBlogPress is one site I have found to be very useful. They have a lot of good information there. I like their slogan "Wordpress Plugins for charging up your wordpress blog for MAX traffic and MAX income" because that is exactly what I want to do.

Pawan Agrawal, the owner of MaxBlogPress, does an excellent job with that blog. It is continuously being upgraded and new things added. He keeps coming out with new plugins to make Wordpress work better.

They have many Wordpress plugins that are very useful. I use just about all of them on all my blogs. One of my favorite plugins in the one Pawan calls Stripe Ads.

This plugin will put a very small stripe across the top of you blog with as many different ads as you like rotating. These of course are text ads of one sentence because that is all the room you have. But they are great and not intrusive like a popup or other kind of ads.

You also have a lot of control over the ads. Such as the wording, the color of the background, and the color of the text, You can change fonts, bold, and underline the text. You can assign different weights to different ads so some show more than others. You can lock the ad at the top so it all ways shows and doesn't scroll off the screen.

In fact here is a quote from the description of the plugin. Pawan says it better than I can.

Here's what you can do with the advanced settings page for Stripe Ads:

* Create an unlimited amount of stripe ads
* Choose the frequency of display and give each ad it's own weight
* Customize the look and feel of the ads to match your blog's layout
* Choose to have it static, or to hover at the top of you blog while scrolling down
* Advertise an affiliate link, links to your own products, or special "timed" offers and promotions

You can make the ad stand out like a sore thumb, or neatly blend it in as just another element of your blog - it's really up to you!
It's Not Just an Advertising Tool!

Don't look at Stripe Ads as just a promotional or advertising tool because it's much, much more.

Stripe Ad is fully customizable to meet any need, and you can do this easily from within your WordPress dashboard under Options > MBP Stripe Ad.

You can also use it to:

* Draw attention to a certain post or page on your blog for example a contest page, your services or a poll.
* Show your disclaimers or Terms of Service (TOS)
* Display an announcement or important news
* Welcome new users and ask them to subscribe to your RSS feed (by displaying the ad for the first 3 visits or a particular user)
* Much, much more (use your imagination folks)

I think that is well said and I would highly recommend you get this plugin. I would also suggest you sign up for Pawan's newsletter or RSS feed so you can stay informed about all the other things they have.

Herschel Lawhorn, the author, writes reviews of wordpress blogs, themes, plugins and Affiliate and Niche Marketing resources. Check his blog at: http://myaffiliatemarketingguide.com You can get the MaxBlogPress plugin at: http://www.herschelrecommends.us/adtrackz/go.php?c=stripead

Introducing the Blue Comet Cafe

DON'T FORGET TO COMMENT ON THIS ARTICLE

by Singair

Everyone wishes they had seen Bruce Springsteen at The Main Point in Philadelphia or Elton John at the Troubadour in Los Angeles or Norah Jones at The Bitter End in New York City when they were just starting out. The fact is you have to be at the right place at the right time and if you live in a smaller market, you're probably out of luck. That's no longer true thanks to Blue Comet Cafe.

The Blue Comet Cafe(TM) is a virtual showcase club featuring on-the-verge recording artists videotaped performing live and presented in on demand video.

Our "Main Stage" artists already play the best traditional venues in the country, if not the world. We offer them a much larger audience and we offer music lovers a reliable place to go to find the best new music. New songs and interview segments are rotated regularly.

How large is that audience? Music sites get half a million visitors per minute worldwide. Young men are the most frequent online video viewers, but US Internet users of all ages are getting into the act.

That is the main finding of BurstMedia's "Online Insights" report, conducted in December 2007. BurstMedia found that more than seven out of 10 adult US Internet users surveyed had viewed online video content. A majority of all age segments had watched online videos, including more than half of respondents age 65 and older.

Young men were viewing most often. More than a third of the 18-to-24-year-old male online video viewers in the survey reported that they watched once a day or more.

The Pew Internet & American Life Project, which regularly publishes studies on usage trends, found in July 2007 that an impressive 57% of all online adults have watched or downloaded videos online (although in general, online video consumers are more likely to be men than women), with 19% doing so on a daily basis. Usage skews far higher among those with broadband Internet connections, as might be expected. Similarly, Pew found that younger adults, particularly those in the 18-to-29 age bracket, consume online video at a significantly higher rate, with 31% watching or downloading on a daily basis. In terms of content, news, comedy, music, educational content and animation/cartoons are the categories of choice,

Meanwhile, the Online Publishers Association (OPA), the trade organization for online content providers, released its "Frames of Reference" study on online video users in July 2007, finding that heavy online video viewers tend to be male, young and affluent (marketers take note). Internet users are spending nearly half their online time visiting content, a 37% increase in share of time from four years ago.

All of this online video consumption naturally lends itself to exposure to online video advertisements. In fact, the OPA found that 80% of online video viewers have seen online video ads, and that overall, 52% took some kind of action after seeing an ad. Actions included checking out the company Web site, searching for more information about the product featured in the advertisement, clicking the banner ad that accompanied the video, chatting up family and friends about the product and making a purchase. In other words, the OPA study would suggest that online video ads drive three primary types of actions – searching for more information, spreading word-of-mouth (online or in person) and purchasing.

In March, we will introduce a social networking area where visitors, musicians, singer-songwriters, bands and fans will create their own profile pages, upload photos, bios and video clips. They will make friends, create groups and forums, and interact with like minded artists and fans worldwide.

We plan to periodically produce shoots where Blue Comet Cafe will videotape several artists for presentation on the Main Stage. The next shoot is tentatively planned for Los Angeles with Boston, Nashville, Austin and Toronto on the list of cities to visit.

How good is the talent? The best. The founders of Blue Comet Cafe both have long careers in the music industry and one, Larry Ahearn, has produced thousands of concerts and championed scores of emerging artists.

Starting at The Main Point in Bryn Mawr, PA., Larry booked, promoted and produced many of the now legendary shows that took place during its "golden years." Emerging artists appearing at the club during that period include: Bruce Springsteen, James Taylor, Joni Mitchell, Randy Newman, Tom Waits, Bonnie Raitt, Jackson Browne, Warren Zevon, The Velvet Underground, John Denver, Jay Leno, Steve Martin and Billy Joel.

He moved into promoting at larger venues, first in Philadelphia and later at Avalon Attractions and PacifiConcerts in Los Angeles, producing hundreds of stadium and arena shows for every major touring act of the last 35 years. Now Larry is back to his first love, finding new talent.

The Cafe's other founder, Tom Crosthwaite, spend decades playing serious music. That led to a number of years spent producing and eventually to a stint running Intermedia Recording Studios in Boston with a clientele that included Aerosmith, The Cars, The J. Geils Band and Maurice Starr.

His success in Boston led him to Los Angeles and Magnolia Sound/The Enactron Truck whose clients included Emmylou Harris, Kris Kristofferson, Johnny Cash, Quincy Jones and Diana Ross.

Together, they combine an eye for talent with the technology of the internet that make The Blue Comet Cafe the premier place to find new talent.

Top Five Mistakes New eBay Members Make

Subscribe in a Reader

DON'T FORGET TO COMMENT ON THIS ARTICLE

by Elija Warren

If you do not know how to identify fraudulent auctions then you will be a victim. The only question is when.

Over 44% of all Internet fraud complaints are about auctions according to the FBI's joint Internet crime center. What is even worse is that according to Michael Ford, President of Elite Minds and eBay safety expert, "…almost every one of these complaints could have been avoided. Yes, I am saying that almost every fraudulent eBay auction can be avoided."

The biggest problem new members on eBay face is a lack of information. They are able to join and be scammed in under 20 minutes without realizing it. New members do not know how the system works and professional criminals take advantage of this by leading them into well planned con games where the new member loses their money and possibly becomes a victim of identity theft.

New members should never:

1. Pay by a means that does not have buyer protection.
2. Focus on a great bargain while losing touch with reality.
3. Click links or run Trojan programs sent by email.
4. Bid without knowing how to check a seller's history
5. Join eBay and immediately try to buy or sell anything.

New members frequently do not have a PayPal account to make payments and they may actually prefer to deal with someone who requests payment by check or money order because those are payment methods they understand. PayPal and Credit Cards give the most buyer protection. Scammers often request payments by Western Union, Bank Transfer, check or money order because they can run off with the money and never ship anything. New members should only pay by PayPal or Credit Card.

New members join eBay and find a great deal on something they want. Then they are afraid of losing that great bargain. The fear of loss takes over and they will do foolish things that they would never normally do to avoid losing their perceived bargain. Criminals often sell items just to obtain information from buyers. The crooks offer items they may not even have and then use the auction as an excuse to collect information from the buyer including name, address, credit card number, and even social security number. You should never have to give any information to a seller other than your name and address so they can ship your goods.

If it sounds too good to be true, it is. Criminals often list popular items like vehicles, electronics, and laptops at too-good-to-be-true prices hoping to snare new members who do not know better. Never focus on a good deal ahead of good judgment.

Crooks prey on fear and confusion. They will send fake email messages claiming your eBay or PayPal account has been compromised or there is some other problem and you must click a link to login. The link then takes the unwary member to a spoof or look-alike website that looks like eBay or PayPal but was actually setup by the crook. When the member enters their password, the crook then logs into their account to abuse it. Scammers will also send programs containing Trojan software which they claim is a form that must be filled out before the order is shipped. When the buyer runs the software, the criminal can take remote control of their computer and use it to send spam or steal the person's password.

Neither new members or experienced members, should ever click any link in any email no matter where the email appears to be from.

Free software can prevent account hijacking. There is a free toolbar at MyLittleMole.com which will alert you if you are tricked into going to a look-alike eBay, PayPal, banking, or most other websites. It will also warn you if you go to any of thousands of known fraud or spam websites. If every eBay member used this software, account hijacking would be a thing of the past.
New buyers do not understand what the feedback numbers mean. Even experienced members rarely know how to truly read feedback and assume that a positive feedback rating is good. It is often not good. The Auction Inquisitor Auction Analysis software from AuctionInquisitor.com will analyze auctions and seller feedback to report common signs of fraud in an auction. This software allows eBay members to spot fraudulent auctions before they bid.

By far, the biggest problem new members face is immediately trying to buy or sell. They act before they understand how bids work or how payments are made. New users and even users who believe they are experienced need more education than they have in order to trade safely on eBay.

It is possible to buy and sell safely on eBay but only if you know how scams work so you can avoid them.

You can find more information on how to avoid scams on eBay at Auction-Safety.org

The Biggest Email Brand Killers

Subscribe in a Reader

DON'T FORGET TO COMMENT ON THIS ARTICLE

by Big Health

One of the biggest mistakes to do is to use email like the electronic version of direct marketing media such as postal mailers, catalogs, radio, television, newspaper inserts and even brochures. A world class brand builder can become a sure fire brand killer in no time if it is treated with ignorance, carelessness, and laziness. The brand killing capability is very much dependant on the email's relationship with the recipients. The relationship is more personal because of the intimate relationship between the people and their computer. And because of this intimacy, positive and negative feelings are encourages by the company's name. No mail is as irritating as junk mail and the penalties for such emails are getting much stiffer. A flood of spam complaints can affect the email program to the extent of shutting it down.

The email is becoming a personal medium, slowly. The recipient should be made in charge, he should be able to decide from whom he should receive email from, what kind of email he wants to receive and when he can stop receiving those emails. An email program which dose not includes all these conveniences will do severe damage to the company's or brand's name.

The first thing to concentrate upon is to remove poor permission practices. If this thing isn't taken care of, nothing done after that will make up for the loss. In simple words, it is completely wrong to email a commercial message to anyone who hasn't given the permission to do so. Sometimes, a person is simply signed up for receiving email while registering on the website because of checking boxes in a hurry. Thus, it is important for the registration page to display the privacy policy which says that the registration also includes agreement for receiving emails. And in spite of this, there is a high chance to get large complaints because of the unclear opt-in process. Some companies send emails to a person who has downloaded whitepaper or brochure form the website. It is better for the check box be not checked before hand. The job of checking the box should be left to the visitor.

In spite of taking these precautions sometimes it happen that the recipient will head straight to the report spam button when they do not want to receive email anymore. This happens when the recipient dose not trust the unsubscribe process. The first reason for the loss of trust is because of not sending the message in the desired format: text or HTML. The readers subscribe intrusting the company and when their email program fails to honor their trust, the company has to pay for this. It is very important to give the reader the option to choose from text or HTML format. Usually technical people prefer only text messages where as the teenagers prefer messages in the HTML format.

The content of the email should exactly meet the requested information. If a subscriber has asked for sales announcements then do not send them company news. Similarly, the frequency of email should also be kept in mind. If request has been made to receive a weekly newsletter, do not send bi-weekly newsletters. An occasional exception such as sales bulletins or news can be used sparingly. Customers complain a lot about the pouring of emails during the holiday season. It is better to focus on the quality rather than quantity.

It is not a compulsion that the content of the email look like spam and considered as a spam. If the recipients able to recognize the sender or dose not consider him to authentic, the mail directly goes to the spam folder. Three things should be considered to keep away from this problem. The sender or the subject shouldn't appear vague. The content should be relevant to the brand name and its products. The unsubscribe procedure should be checked regularly. Failed unsubscribe and repeated requests for unsubscribing not only blocks the email program but also kills the brand name. Along with checking this link, it is highly recommended to check other links as well. Clicking on the link should take directly to the landing page and not on home page or a 'Page Not Found' page. Also, effort must be made in reducing the number of clicks done to achieve a certain action.

Importance of Blogs in Online Marketing

Subscribe in a Reader

DON'T FORGET TO COMMENT ON THIS ARTICLE

by nathfiset

Blogs are great tools every online marketer can use to drive traffic to a website. While many think that blogs are the "lesser" form of websites, the truth is, blogs are actually more effective than websites in some cases. This is because blogs provide a more personalized feel to the visitors by enabling them to connect with the blog owner, add comments, subscribe to RSS, and trackbacks. Blogs are not really that different from websites although they provide visitors with greater access to connect with the owner and other visitors to the blog.

So it is apparent that optimizing your blog should form a large part of your online promotion. If you optimize a particular document and it gets indexed and then ranked by the search engines, then this is search engine marketing. Online marketers need to be aware that blogs should be used as an important part of the overall marketing mix for an online business.

Blog software should be used to easily manage the different kinds of content available on the website including the archive newsletters, the online media room, the frequently asked questions, and product updates. These factors can contribute a lot to the search engine rankings. Take note that these tips apply both to regular search engines as well as the specialized blog engines. These applications in your blog can increase your credibility and improve communications with your site visitors as well.

However, as an online marketer, you must not think that blogs are the easy way to promote because sure, it has its advantages, but it requires constant work as well. Working smart is particularly essential when you are optimizing your blog because you have to deal with other competitors as well. Of course though, it is a given for you to find the right keyword in which to optimize your blog for. As you see, this is actually very similar to website optimization.

There are many benefits that an online marketer can derive when he has a blog including:

1. Having a highly structured content – because blog software has the category feature which allows the categorization of content according to its themes. This feature makes blogs easier to algorithmically classify everything that is written. You are also making it easier for the search engine to understand what your site is all about so you will have a better chance of ranking well on those topics.

2. Search engines can crawl URLs – because most blog software has an uncomplicated blog structure, it is easy for search engines to crawl its content.

3. Internal links – blogs that have product and service information can create deep links to the information or the purchase page deep into the website. This can prove to be beneficial for long the long tail phrases.

4. Inbound link attractor – blogs can link freely to any other blog. They have more freedom compared to websites. In addition, blogs are a great source of posts related to social news and social media. Take note that audio, video, and text can easily be integrated into the blog because it is supported by the blog syndication.

5. RSS – the links to feed URLs which uses the blog's domain can assist in building up link popularity especially when the RSS is cited or syndicated by other blogs. Links can sent in more traffic as well.

6. Fresh content – most blog owners update their blogs more often compared to their sites. Because of this, the fresh content that regularly churned out will be rewarded by repeat visits; search engines will also crawl the blog more frequently.

7. Active community – there are trackback and comment features in the blog software so visitors can freely interact with each other. An active community can likewise create citations from other related sites which search engines will reward through higher rankings.

8. Non-search engine traffic – more than the traffic you will get from search engines, probably the best thing that online marketers can take advantage of in blogs is the ability to get traffic from links and RSS.

Blogs is definitely an essential part of online marketing. It is no wonder then that internet marketers often use blogs as a tool to attract visitors and develop a loyal following. Take note though that the recommendations provided here may be subject to changes because online rules are ever changing.

Global Domains International Scam or Money Making Opportunities

Subscribe in a Reader

DON'T FORGET TO COMMENT ON THIS ARTICLE

by Bobby Leong

Global Domains International inc also known as GDI has exclusive license agreement to distribute the dot WS domains (.WS) which is their main offer to customers.

But GDI has actually developed a Multi Level Marketing Strategy to distribute and market these domains. The strategy has worked well which offers huge potential incomes to members with minimum work and technical knowledge of the internet.

The GDI system actually combines multi - level - marketing (network marketing) with internet marketing which I think is pure genius. Robert Allen of "Multiple Streams of Income" actually stated in his book that "network marketing" and "internet marketing" are two profitable and easy streams of income. Now Global Domains International actually combined these two streams into one allowing members to participate in network marketing with internet marketing on complete automation.

The beauty of the GDI system is that there is actually no selling on your part. The video presentations they provided are pursuasive enough, in other words, the videos will actually sell for you. All you need to do is just sending the emails provided to close friends, relatives, or even in forums to direct people to watch the videos.

And best thing of all, it is the cheapest network marketing and internet marketing business venture you can ever find with potential highest return on investment. You can check out using the calculator provided in the main GDI website. According to calculations, if you can find 5 people and the 5 people in turn finds 5 people, you have a potential earnings of $3.905 per month! Now that's the power of network marketing and I am sure you will agree that with an investment of only $10 a month, you will never find another income opportunity with this kind of low risk and high returns.

Now, will the product sells? We know that the internet has become an important part of our lives, and I cant stress enough that in time (maximum 5 years from now) we all need a domain name, a website and a personal email address. With dot coms all running out, the only good alternative is dot WS (WS stands for website). The videos explain really well.

Ok, so is Global Domains International a Scam?

Would you call Amway, Nu Skin and all the multi level companies out there a scam? These companies including Global Domains International are built on the same business model - network marketing. The only difference of GDI is that it is cheaper and easier to start with as the system are all on automation over the internet. When you pay your subscription of $10 a month to GDI, you also get a domain name, a website, site builder, email addresses not to mention the income opportunity system and the advance email systems they provide you to manage your downlines.

Some, may argue that you can get domains at $8.95 a year and hosting for $3.95 a month. But do not forget that you are not provided with a residual income building opportunity that pays you every month. Hey, you may also wonder, GDI only pays $1 per signups, that's really too little for your effort, but dont forget you are paid 5 levels! Try out the potential income with the calculator provided at the bottom page of GDI main website You only need 10 signups in any of the 5 levels to break even!

Oh by the way, you are also given 4 ready made websites with your name already embedded to start your GDI business. How easy is that! You dont even need to learn a single HTML to start with!

In conclusion, is Global Domain International Scam?
Nope!
One word of advice though, like every domain companies, GDI will try to upsell you more domains at $10 each which you do not need as you can domains as cheap as $6.95. Just pay $10 for the system and you should do fine.
You have to watch the really cool video and see for yourself, you are also entitled to a 7 day FREE Trial!

How to Find Good Deals on eBay

Subscribe in a Reader

DON'T FORGET TO COMMENT ON THIS ARTICLE

by Connie McKenzie

Who doesn't love a great deal? People sometimes put a lot of time into searching for a specific item and when they find the deal they are looking for they may often experience a certain gratification. Typically these people attend garage sales, flea markets, stores that have really, really good sales and on and offline auctions.

There are more and more auctions going on eBay everyday. There are so many of the same or similar items that it can be difficult to choose which one you want, at a price you are willing to pay. But the good news is, it isn't impossible to locate good deals on eBay?

There are certain steps that you can take to make sure that you have found some good deals on eBay. It is great fun to participate in online auctions, but you must remember to be cautious.

Do research on the product before you place your bid. Read each and every word of the description provided. Pay close attention to the description and what it doesn't say, for instance, is there a guarantee? Is the item new? Is it authentic, if so; is there proof of it? Find auctions that provide this information up front, avoid those that don't.

However, if it is an item that you really want, but there is not enough info, send the seller an email. Ask questions if you want to know about something you are about to buy, don't let it be too late.

How much is the shipping and handling fees? Sometimes what the seller is selling looks like a super great deal, but, what they sometimes do is jack up the price of shipping and handling in order to compensate for their loses.

For example, my daughter wants to be a cheerleader for Halloween, so I figured I would find some good deals on eBay. I found one and she liked it; it was a great price, only $12.98. After reading the description I checked out the shipping and handling. Get this, it was $20.00, can you believe it? What a rip off, I never did get it, but I also should have never let her see it, boy was she upset with me.

Just because there are items that offer good deals on ebay, don't let yourself make the mistake of bidding on it just for that reason. If you really need or want the item then it may be the right deal for you, otherwise leave it alone. Some people bid just for the sake of bidding and winning even though they do not need or desire the item.

Check prices on the Internet or even offline before making a bid on something you need or want at eBay. You know, there is no guarantee that it is the lowest price available just because it is on eBay.

Forum Interfaces and How it Helps Activity

Subscribe in a Reader

DON'T FORGET TO COMMENT ON THIS ARTICLE

by ryanchua6

"Forum Interfaces basically refer to the tools and utilities available in a forum software package, which allow users of your website to share their views and experiences with each other.

They play an important role in building a vast user community on your website by allowing users to select their specific areas of interest while sharing news, views, and experiences. If it were not for the interfaces, your forum would have become a vast dumping ground, making it difficult for users to select their favorite topics of discussion.

In the absence of a proper interface, your forum's content will be no different from in-organic content such as generic web pages and blogs that users generally loathe and try to avoid.

Forum interfaces offer a wide range of benefits, the most prominent being the increase in general user activity on your website. You see, forum interfaces are designed as such that they allow users to get their message through in the easiest possible manner, something that automatically leads to increased activity.

The easy to use features are a great help because they make it possible even for a layman to share his experiences with others. This in turn, naturally brings in more traffic to your website.

Moreover, by providing options for inserting hyperlinks, images, graphics, and audio/video clips in the message itself, forum interfaces allow users to use their creativity to their fullest, something that naturally creates interest and stirs up the general user activity on your website.

You see, people in general are more receptive to images and sounds than they are to words and sentences; and since forum interfaces allow users to make full use of the former elements, it makes sense as to why more and more users have now started using forums to voice their opinions.

If you are still skeptical, you can look at search engines results, which more often than not point to forums rather than just websites or blogs. In effect, we can say that forums are fast becoming the most preferred medium of communication amongst Internet users.

Now that you understand the correlation between increased user activity and website traffic, it is all up to you to make available the best forum interface to your website users.

Buying the latest forum software may be a good way of doing that, but if you do not want to take the risk of investing top dollars or do not have adequate resources, it is recommended that you try other available options that might be more cost-effective. For example, using freeware or shareware is a good way to get started in the right direction. As your business grows and as you get to earn more profit from your online business, you can then think about investing in a fully loaded forum software system, having all the necessary add-ons and interfaces.

However, since a good forum software is just one of the factors and since it certainly does not represent all the variables that determine user activity on your website, it is recommended that you first develop a thorough understanding of the intricacies involved.

There are many ways of doing that, but if you are willing to follow the instructions of a highly successful webmaster (yours truly), then just click on the link below. You will know what all you have been missing all these years. Trust me!

Problems and Controversies Surrounding Myspace

As much as the good things that myspace to persons of all ages, there are things that myspace seemed to have lack of power in controlling. Even with the tools that they have, they still have concerns on how to address them. But they are smarting up their ranks and try addressing these concerns as soon as possible.

One of the controversies that caused some problems with myspace was the case that was filed against the website last February 2007. The parents of the kid that was sexually assaulted met the person online through myspace. Because of that, they were charge with fraud, negligence and misrepresentation. Even though the case was dismissed the website was magnified on what are the restrictions and norms they are doing to prevent these things. Under fire because of the accusations, the company created even stricter laws to protect those that are under age.

There was also a report that the website was used by some as a spyware. Someone apparently found a loophole in the system of the website and used it to get vital information of the person. The bug was so powerful that it can take the information of the person looking at a website by simply clicking on a video to play that came from the source or even visiting the front page of the account creator. From there, it will look for the important information about yourself and eventually it will access some offline information and you'll never know what hit you when you become a victim of identity theft.

Another problem that most of the users have pointed out is that the website has virtually no customer service. There's no phone number that you can contact and when you e-mail them with your concerns, you can just wish they will answer your questions within 24 hours. Sometimes the answer may never come so you're better off with the FAQs again. If you're very, very lucky and you can get hold of the phone number of the myspace headquarters, you can just wish you could talk to them about it. A corporate office won't even bother talking to you. It's a burden that we all have to face since the website is free and there's absolutely nothing that you have to pay for their services.

Lastly of course is the piracy and copyright infringement. Even though the website is not to be blamed, the website is really easy when it comes to posting something illegal for example, placing music online that can be downloaded for free. Streaming music are also the problem of some artists that they clearly voiced out their concerns regarding these add-ons. A simple code embedded on the site are all the users need to do to download and access the music.

Whatever the concern, myspace always answers these concerns and tries as much as possible to protect the users and the artists with regards to the piracy. Especially with protecting the underage, myspace is continuing its efforts to prevent predators to get in touch with the vulnerable under-aged kids.

5 Steps to Planning Your Podcast

Subscribe in a Reader

by Sarah Rourke

Planning is an essential part of the podcasting process. By knowing what you are going to say and preparing any other resources you want to include you can save yourself time, effort and frustration when you sit down to create your podcast. Laying the groundwork saves you getting into a pickle and ensures a smooth recording without the bumpy ride!

Follow the 5 steps below every time you record so you'll spend less time feeling frustrated and more time perfecting your fantastic business podcast.

Step 1 - Email participants and permission requests in advance.

You've decided to make a show about business owners where you want to interview people and use clips from other people's podcasts. If you want to record your show at the end of the week, really think about gathering permissions at the start of the week or else you might just come unstuck.

People are busy and their time is precious. Try to think ahead about who you would like to invite on to your show and get their permission way before you sit down to record. Always have back-up ideas too, just in case you just can't get to people in time.

Step 2 - Choose clips and interviewees before writing the scripts/planning your links.

If you want to use parts of the interviews or even pieces from other people's shows, it's always wise to know which clips you'll use before you write your notes or script. This means you can then write the script in a way that introduces what participants are going to say or you could comment on what they've said at the end of the clip.

Step 3 - Have a script.

Lots of would-be podcasters feel 100% confident that they know what they're going to say and intend to have a slick, fluff-free delivery. Well, you know what they say about the best laid plans of mice and men? It's a really good idea to have a script of some description so that your points follow a rational and well thought out process and your listeners get maximum value out of your podcast. You don't have to write a detailed script and then reel it off word for word if you think this will make you sound wooden (most non-professional broadcasters would have difficulty making it sound otherwise), it's more about knowing what you're going to say, knowing how your points are going to pan out and, if you have guests, having a few notes about them and the kind of questions you could ask them.

Imagine the pain of starting to introduce a guest and then completely forgetting their name. Having a script or some notes will prevent this from happening and make you feel relaxed, much in the way flash cards help you stay focussed during presentations.

Step 4 - Prepare yourself.

This may sound like an obvious preparation step but it's one that many neglect. Imagine getting up in the morning and everyone is out of the house; there's nobody to talk to. You go into your office or studio and switch your mic on, ready to record your podcast. You clear your throat a little and then start. How do you sound ? A bit like a zombie from Night of the Living Dead? So, what to do instead? Have a chat to the cat or sing in the shower to get the vocal chords loosened up and work the body out by carrying out some breathing and stretching exercises. Have a warm drink (but avoid milk as it clogs up the sinuses) and, last but not least, put a dab of lip balm on your lips (yes, it's so that they move smoothly over one another when you speak, reducing any unwanted noises).

Step 4 - Prepare your environment.

An essential element in making sure your podcast runs smoothly is to prepare your environment as well as you can. Turn off any phones that might disturb you, 'dampen' your room as much as you can (I know of someone who records under the desk with a blanket draped over it), make sure you have everything you need.

If possible, try not to time your recording to coincide your with the time the cats need feeding or your spouse will be home. Take care to ensure you will have as much peace as possible.

Sticking to these 5 pointers will really help you get your voice heard by the right people with the minimum of fuss and pain.

Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) – What is it?

Subscribe in a Reader

by Michiel

Using Relevant Search Terms

Search Engine Optimisation is a process you employ to ensure top rankings in the search engines for the most relevant search terms on a website. When somebody is looking for a particular topic on the web they type in a relevant phrase. These phrases are the most relevant search terms. SEO processes target these search terms and high ranking will be sought for these search terms.

The first stage of the SEO process is to choose the relevant search terms for your website and put preferable one term per relevant page, but two per page is ok. Splitting large pages means you can make two pages and use a different search term on each page. Matching the search terms to the content of the page is very important.

Structuring the links within the site.

It is important that search engine spiders can find the all of your sites pages. The aim is to get your pages put in the search engines index. Indexing improves the chances of higher rating. Below are some things to remember to improve the chance of search engine spiders finding your pages.

  • Do not use links created by Javascript, spiders cannot read them.

  • When using Session ID's in URL's, check the rules about their use particularly if you are looking for Google ranking.

  • Make sure all pages link to at least one other pages.

  • Structure the internal links (page links) so that your targeted search terms are reinforced. This means making sure that the pages with sub topics of a topic link to the topic page using the correct link text.

Off page elements - Link Text
This element is one of two important points for good rankings. You can put link text on pages within your site or on the pages of other sites. Here's the point, the main search term on the target pages should be included in the link text. Where possible, use different link text for every link that links to a page, but always include the target page's main search term in the link text.

On page elements
The aim here is to make sure that all page elements link to the target search terms on each page. Consider the following:

The Title Tag
This is the second of the two important elements for good ranking. Ensure the page's search term is contained in this tag. Put it near to the front as possible. Make sure it reads well. Remember each page's title tag should be different to that for other pages.
The Description Tag
Write an attractive description tag for each page and include the search terms in it at least twice. Make sure the search term
is mentioned at the beginning if possible.
The H Tag (Header Tag)
H tags have numbers from 1-6 with 1 being the biggest heading size. H tags carry more weight when read by the search engines. So include the H tag as near the top of the page as possible and include search terms in the tag at least once if not more on the page.
Text
Using the search terms in the text on the page as much as possible is important. Put the terms early on in the page and as much throughout the page as possible without losing the readability of the content. Search terms put in bold text carries extra weight but not as much as H tags. If a word from the search term words is found in the text but is separate from the other search term words. It can only help.
ALT Text
Make sure you put the search terms in the alt text of all images on the page.

So in summary, the key to effective search engine optimization is to initially choose relevant search terms. Then ensure you have search terms correctly placed in strategic elements of your website construction. These elements being at the point of link construction, in off-page elements and on-page elements. It is important to note that while search engine optimization is very effective it does not happen overnight. Be prepared to be meticulous in your implementation of SEO and patient in reaping the rewards.

Role of keywords in SEO!

Subscribe in a Reader

by Vats alok

Keywords of any website are the creditors who fetch the visitors to the site from the search engines. Proper uses of keywords have major impact in search engine ranking of the site. Keyword tags are more responsible for drawing visitors than designing of the site. Keyword research is the foundation to a successful SEO campaign.

Sometimes the beginners don't take the importance of keywords seriously and take the task of keyword research easy. But keyword research is a significant as well as daunting task. Although free tools are available for keyword research but they are useless without one's own efforts. They give only estimated scenario of possible keywords. To filter the best keywords for the website from the pool is a tedious task. Only an expert can make his effort for this task considering website condition, age of that site, easy ranking possibilities, market catching chances etc.

Choosing appropriate Keywords needs experience and tact. Putting the right keywords may not show instant results but give their values in long term. Unplanned keywords results in poor ranking and hence an unsuccessful attempt of the identity of your website on internet. Funds used for keyword research are actually an investment not expenditure.

Three main factors must be considered for an efficient keyword research is:

1. Keyword length: Many times unnecessary long key phrases used for the keywords are proved to be useless. Fake SEO people or those having poor knowledge of SEO makes this type of flaws to rank the site. But it doesn't help them. The keywords should be concise and opt for the website. It is advised a combination of 2-4 words only as a keyword tag. Though exceptions are there but it gives almost 100 per cent result for any site.

2. Search Volume per day: The daily visit of enormous visitors on the site is said to be search volume per day. It is recommended a medium search volume is better to provide its market value. Hence a medium search volume gained keywords should be selected to promote the website.

A keywords fetching heavy visitor on the site will define the total business market and will be different from original searches done by the surfers. And the keywords which are unable to increase the search volume to a satisfactory amount will not be effective to any business. Hence the keywords should be such that which can make a balance between these two extremes.

3. Competitiveness of keywords: This factor is also essential in Search Engine Optimization (SEO) for higher rankings in search results.

In spite of proper length and search volume there can be a different kind of competition for the keywords. Competition of the keyword is need to calculate properly as well. Less competitive key phrases with same search volume are advised for higher gains in market.

Hence the medium length keywords with proper search volume and with less competitive key phrases which will produce maximum web traffic and raise the rank in search results.

To conclude, Keywords plays a major role in web traffic and to raise the position of the website in the search results. It needs a continuous monitoring for an effective SEO and to go ahead a step on your competitors.

Smart Way of Choosing the Right Domain Name for Online Success

by Kanaga Sivaraj

Most people starting an Online Business are so concerned with the products and services they intend to promote online that they neglect or overlook the importance of choosing the right domain name for their website. A domain name is the name of your online business which is used by internet users to identify and locate your website. Choosing the right name should be your first priority for Online Success. In fact many new entrepreneurs are ignorant of the role this name plays in their online businesses and choose names which have little or no relevance to their business. The following smart tips will help you proceed along the right lines.

1. Short and Memorable Name

Choose a name that is short, memorable and easy to pronounce. It is much easier to remember a simple short name rather a long one. Word of mouth advertisement is considered to be one of the most popular modes of advertising a business and a short and memorable name is ideal for people to remember your business and pass the word around. It also becomes handy for offline advertising. Unfortunately today most of the popular short names have been taken, nevertheless if online success is your goal you can use your ingenuity and come up with good names.

2. Simple and Easy to Spell

The domain name should be simple and easy to spell and display professionalism. Complicated names are difficult to remember and write it down and the chances are that people who wish to access your website will make a mistake when typing your url in the browser window. This would lead them to some other website instead of yours and you will be the looser.

3. Relevant to your Online Business

Your name should be relevant to your online business thus indicating to the general public the internet surfer and also to the Search Engines what your website business is all about. There are of course well known names such as Google, Yahoo, Amazon and EBay that have no relevance to their businesses. These are powerful branded names by financially rich companies who spend a colossal amount of money for branding their names.

4. Choose the Popular Domain Name Extension:

The original and the most popular domain name extension is the .com and people are very familiar with it. Today there are several extensions such as .net, .org, biz, tv, and ws. to choose from. Most people associate the dotcom extension with a business and the general tendency for Internet users is to type the dotcom automatically after the domain name even if the extension is different. This tendency to associate the dotcom with a domain name and the good sale value of these names with a .com extension makes this the first choice for online success.

5. Use Keywords:

Your keywords have an important role to play here. You should try to embed two or at least one of the most relevant keywords or a keyword phrase into your domain name. This helps the Search Engines to know about your site and hence place relevancy on them. Keywords also help you to obtain good search engine ranking and search results which are vital for online success.

6. Avoid Hyphenated Names:

It is difficult to remember hyphenated domain names. There is a tendency to forget the hyphen or mention it in the wrong place when information is passed by word of mouth and hence it is wise to avoid them. It is ofcourse only a communication problem. If there is no choice and the hyphenated name contains a good keyword, there is no harm in choosing the name since search engines have no problem with them at all.

Conclusion:

Choosing the right domain name should indeed be the first step in your adventure into the exciting and rewarding field of online business. These Smart tips will help you do just that.

5 Steps to Planning Your Podcast

by Sarah Rourke

Don't forget to download Indocquent's free social bookmark utility for your website or blog at http://www.indocquent.com/social_bookmark/social_bookmark_landingpage.html.

Three Tips to select the best affiliate products

by Kelvin Lee

There are numerous affiliate products in the market and the amount will be increasing in the future as the trend of affiliate marketing increased. Therefore it is very critical for you to be able to identify the correct affiliate products that you should promote.

Below are the 3 tips that you should use to select your affiliate products

1)Quality of products. This is the most important factor I use to select the affiliate products I introduced to my list. I access the quality of the product through the benefits it can bring to my subscribers. First of all, I will look around in the forum on the feedback people give to the product and then I will buy one to try it myself to double confirm the quality. However it is not necessary for you to buy those products you want to promote in the beginning as it will be too taxing for you. All you have to do is to search the web for people's feedback.

2)Relevant of products. You have to verify whether the product is relevant to your subscribers as you should refrain from introducing your subscribers to product that don’t suit their needs.

3)Commission of products. The last factor that I use to select the affiliate products I introduced to my subscribers is the commission I will be receiving from the program. The amount must be justifiable enough for me to promote to my list.

Make sure you give your subscriber those products that you yourself will use and those products that have proven to be useful for you.
